This paper addresses the assessment problem in aframework of nonlinear differential equations . It provides a mathematically-rigor andquantitative method for assessing how the charging/discharging of EVs affectsthe spatial profile of distribution voltage . Effectiveness of the asymptotic charcterisation of solutions of the problem is established with simulations of both simple and practicalconfigurations of the power distribution grid . The assessment problem is then formulated as a two-point boundary value problem of the nonlinear ODE model . It is then developed to simulate the impact of EV charging and discharging topower distribution grids . The study is published in the journal Nature of Energy .
